Arts & Sciences Meeting<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thursday, April 12th is once again A&S time!<\/p>\n

Whether you are going to the Coronation of Sven and Siobhan or not, you might want to make some Finnish garb. This Thursday,\u00a0Ihala Auvinen will help us create an underdress and an overdress. You’ll find documentation here:\u00a0https:\/\/ravencrosspress.wordpress.com\/2015\/04\/14\/eura-underdress-the-family-look-pt-1\/ .<\/p>\n

To make an underdress, bring 2 yards of 60″ wide fabric (linen, faux-linen, wool, cotton). This is a zero waste pattern with no gussets or gores!\u00a0WASH<\/span> and DRY<\/span> your fabric to pre-shrink it.<\/p>\n

To make an overdress, bring enough fabric to wrap around your body comfortably. Also, bring a woven belt and brooches or pins for the shoulders.<\/p>\n

I will have my sewing machine, box of threads, and scissors. Bring anything else you think you’ll need, such as paper and pencil to take notes or make diagrams.<\/p>\n
