A Motto for the Debatable Lands"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Note to those reading from the email list, click on the link below to see a formatted version with live links at the blog website.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this, the eve of our third Debatable Lands Equestrian Championship (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"details (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/debatablelands.aethelmearc.org\/blog\/?p=4037\" target=\"_blank\">details<\/a>, and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"schedule (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/debatablelands.aethelmearc.org\/blog\/?p=4046\" target=\"_blank\">schedule<\/a>), we&#8217;d like to introduce to you <em>our new Baronial motto<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SALVE ACCOLENS<\/strong>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> What does it mean? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HELLO NEIGHBORS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the week of World Kindness Day, embodied by the greatest modern champion of kindness and courtesy, especially toward oneself and their neighbors: Mr. Fred Rogers. The Debatable Lands is his home Barony, and we hope that all our people will strive toward these ideals: <strong>kindness<\/strong>, <strong>courtesy<\/strong>, <strong>generous and open hearts<\/strong>, <strong>mindfulness to feelings, <\/strong>and\u00a0to\u00a0be <strong>helping <\/strong>and <strong>loving<\/strong> and <strong>welcoming<\/strong>.  All these, we feel, are encompassed by &#8220;Hello Neighbors&#8221; &#8211; &#8220;Salve Accolens&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope to enact these these ideals in word and deed, and hope you all will join us.
