For Sunday, November 17, due to the cold weather we will not be having archery practice at Highland Park.  However, Archer’s are welcome to join us at Chieftain Archery Club to shoot an indoor short range, and submit scores for the Gwintarian challenge. http://web.raex.com/~obsidian/wint.html

The Chieftain Archery Club charges $5 per visitor, so please come prepared for that cost in cash. They do not have the availability to take cards.

Starting Sunday December 2, and the first Sunday of each month after that, the BMDL fencing practice will be a crossover muster between the SCA and the Broken Plow rapier group.

We will start at 1:30 PM and will go until everyone is tired.

We will primarily be fighting using SCA fencing or Cut n Thrust rules. However the members of Broken Plow will be practicing with us if there is any interest in learning more about how their fighting system works.

I will have the BMDL loaner rapier and cut n thrust equipment available if anyone needs to borrow anything.

Comtesse Elena d’Artois is our site contact and liaison between the groups, so thank you to her for this opportunity.

Fight practice will be held at Baron Byron and Baroness Ariella’s castle (755 Stonegate Dr, Wexford, PA). There will be activities occurring prior to practice so the start time is not certain, but I would expect to start between 2:15 and 2:30.

The parking lot we use has two DPW markers covering one end of the entrance. I think there may be a pot hole there. But the rest of the entrance is available, and should be much the same as it has been. So I do plan to have fight practice today.

Robert checked the site and the entrance is not blocked to access, the very large corner of the pothole at the entrance is all that is blocked.

Practice is able to continue as usual if another marshal can run it this week. If you can run practice please contact me by 12:00 so we can get an announcement made.

If you don’t hear from me before practice today, practice is canceled.

Next week practice will be at the harvest revel after barony meeting.

Konichiwa Debatable Lands!!! Well, well, well… I was going to post that we were finally going to have practice again. However, apparently the city has other plans. So, barring a sudden change in circumstance, I am reluctantly cancelling practice. If anything changes, I will inform you all immediately!

Weather permitting, there will be fight practice from 2 till 6 PM on November 4 at the Highland Park site. Loaner armor will be available.

Konichiwa Debatable Lands! Unfortunately, due to all the rain and the flooding down on Washington Blvd, I’m cancelling practice tomorrow.  The ground is just too saturated right now and they are calling for more tomorrow. I’m still holding out for a few more practices to take place before we shut it down for winter, c at least at that stor. There may be some possibility of having thrown weapons at chieftain archery I’ve the winter if we can get some decent days. Hopefully see you all next week.
