Archery Practice tomorrow (6/29), Stellar Tournament!

Salve accolens!

The weather looks like it’s going to cooperate tomorrow, so archery practice at the Washington Blvd. site is a go. I unfortunately will be unable to stay to marshal, so Tofi will be running practice in my absence.

We will also be having our next Sky List Stellar Tournament tomorrow – Edward Mercier is the defending champion, and has a challenging shoot planned.

Reminder that we will not have archery practice next Sunday, July 6th, due to Garb Swap at the Avalon shelter in North Park. Watch the blog and the Facebook page for more information.

Baronial Archery and Thrown Weapons Championships Tomorrow (6/15)

Reminder that the baronial archery and thrown weapons champion tournaments will be held tomorrow during our regular martial practice.

The thrown weapons tournament will start at 1:00 pm.

Archery qualifiers will run from the start of practice until 1:00 pm, and the final will commence following the thrown weapons tournament, around 1:30 pm.

Additional reminder that there is one obligation to stand as baronial champion: you are required to represent the barony at the Seven Pearls event in late August and compete in the Seven Pearls Inter-Baronial Championship for bragging rights against the other Aethelmearc Baronial Champions. You will also be eligible to compete in the Knowne World Baronial Championship Tournaments at Pennsic.

The weather may be damp tomorrow, so prepare accordingly.

Barony Garb Swap and Social Meeting Sunday July 6th

Pennsic is coming soon and it is time once again for the Barony Garb Swap and Social Meeting. It will be help in North Park at the Avalon Shelter on Sunday July 6th, starting at 11 am. Mistress Constance Glyn Dwr is once again running the swap. If you have garb that you no longer wear, you are welcome to donate it.  When the swap starts, usually between 1pm and 2pm, newcomers get first pick. Sir Guillaume has said that iron key will have armor repair at the shelter as well. We plan to hold a barony social meeting at the shelter. The shelter has electricity and picnic tables if you want to do other crafts. Fencing and Heavy fighting can be held in nearby fields. There is lots of space. I’m not sure if the archers plan to practice at Washington Blvd or at the archery range in North Park.

Archery Practice Cancelled for 6/8

In case you weren’t at archery practice or the barony social last Sunday, archery practice for Sunday, June 8th is cancelled, due to Scarlet Guard Inn AND Iris Festival the day before.

Archery practice will resume on Sunday, June 15th, where we will be holding both the baronial archery and thrown weapons championships.
