Iron Comet Schedule

This Saturday June 23 is the fourth Iron Comet Challenge. All are welcome to participate in the Iron Comet Challenge, regardless of where you live. We will also be hosting the Debatable Lands Martial Champion tournaments at Iron Comet, open to residents of the Debatable Lands and gentles who bear a Green Comet.

To be eligible for the Iron Comet Challenge you must participate in 3 of the 4 martial disciplines and submit an A&S entry. Those who wish to participate in all martial forms can drop their lowest score from their total. Youth need to only participate in two martial forms and submit an A&S entry to be eligible for the Youth Iron Comet.

Here is the schedule of the day so that you don’t miss anything.

Thrown Weapons Practice 6-17

Konichiwa Debatable Lands! Sorry for the late notice folks, but there was some question as to whether I could hold practice tomorrow, due to vehicle repair. I am pleased to tell you that practice will indeed be held for 11-2 at Washington Blvd. Hope to see you there.

Sewing Circle on 6/20

Wednesday, June 20, 7:30-9:30 is the last official sewing circle before Pennsic. If you want advice, research help, fittings, etc., come on over.

Fight Practice June 17

There will be fight practice this Sunday June 17 from 2 till 6, at the Washington Blvd site. Loaner armor will be available.

Fencing canceled today 6/10

The ground is too wet for fencing safely due to the rain so practice this week is canceled.

I will see you next week starting at 1 for practice at washington blvd.

A and S — Cancelled — Sunday, June 10th

A&S for today has been cancelled because this crappy weather will not stop!

With luck, our instructor, Luceta di Cosimo, will come back later in the season to teach early period Russian garb.

As I have another commitment for Sunday afternoon, and many of the fighters are planning to go to Northern Oaken War Maneuvers this weekend, there will not be a fight practice on June 10.

The next Business Meeting for the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands will be tonight, 6 June 2018 from 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church (416 W North Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 – map).

The Agenda will be:
1. Open Meeting
2. Approve minutes from previous meeting
3. Officer’s Reports
4. Close Meeting

The Officers of the Debatable Lands are elected by the membership and is made up of members of the populace, just like you. The Officers are responsible for ensuring that the policies of the Kingdom and Barony are followed and are accountable to the populace of the Debatable Lands. The Business meeting is open to everyone in the Barony and attendance by the populace is encouraged.
