Fight Practice December 17 and the holidays

Hello
There will be fight practice on December 17 from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Chinese Church. Loaner armor will be available.
As any of you who have looked at the calendar will have figured out, the next two Sundays after this one are Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. I would like to know how many people are available, and interested, in fighting on those days. If you are a fighter, or fencer, and would like to fight on either of those two Sundays, please let me know.  If you are interested, please send an e-mail to KSprague1959 at Gmail dot Com.   If enough people are interested, we will have practice.

A Call for SnowBalls

A Call for SNOWBALLS!
We are in search of good snowball builders, for our BMDL Twelfth Night Event. The snowballs are the size of baseballs, sewn together with colored cloth and stuffed with stuffing and a superball in the middle to give it some weight without hurting anyone. Please bring any contributions to the BMDL Twelfth Night event in time for the snowball fight at 2:30pm, January 13th.

Greetings from the Chronicler

Greatings Debatable Lands,

I wanted to greet everyone as the new Chronicler for the Barony. My name is Greg Straub, known to the society as Tigerna Alister Sionnach MacLeod. I had been the deputy chronicler for the last two years and as of Wednesday I am the current officer to serve in the roll. I will be publishing more information about it in the near future but I have some changes I would like to make with regard to the office and work on modernizing the job of chronicler that at times has seemed out of place in the modern world.

I look forward to working with many members of the Barony to gain insight and articles to share, please contact me if you have any interest in serving with the office of chronicler or if you just want to contribute an article.

Business Meeting – TODAY

The next Business Meeting for the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands will be TODAY Wednesday, 6 December 2017 from 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church (416 W North Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 – map).

The Officers of the Debatable Lands are elected by the membership and is made up of members of the populace, just like you. The Officers are responsible for ensuring that the policies of the Kingdom and Barony are followed and are accountable to the populace of the Debatable Lands. The Business meeting is open to everyone in the Barony and attendance by the populace is encouraged.
