Fencing is cancelled today Sunday November 21.

Please let me know if you would attend practice next Sunday November 28, the Sunday after Thanksgiving at fencingmarshal (AT) debatablelands (DOT) org by Saturday.

Note that, should the weather make it necessary cancel practice, the Tourneys will be canceled as well.

The next online sewing will be Thursday, Nov 18th, at 7:30 PM in the kingdom zoom room. Come sew, braid, knit, weave, or just hang out. It is good to have company while working. If you would like me to send you the zoom information, please email sewing (at) debatablelands (dot) org.

After a fun and Challenging shoot designed by our outgoing Archery Defender of the Sky, Godfrey, we have a new Defender! Congratulations to Yakub, our 4th Defender of the Sky! Many thanks to Godrey for designing the shoot, and all of the Marshals at practice for assisting with the shoot.

This Sunday November 14 there will be practice at Washington Blvd starting at 1PM.

Limited loaner gear is available. If you need loaner gear contact me at fencingmarshal (AT) debatablelands (DOT) org.

Make sure to remember to bring your proof of vaccination, or negative COVID test within 72 hours, and photo ID to practice, as those are now mandatory to be shown at all in person activities.

Masks will not be required for fully vaccinated individuals (2 weeks after the final dose of the vaccine). Masks are still required for unvaccinated individuals.

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to try to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.

Attention good gentles,

The Covid-19 plague has been reported in one noble present at the Agincourt Event on 10/23/2021. Please take appropriate precautions. Monitor for symptoms for the 14 days following the exposure, or until 11/06/2021. Since this exposure was entirely outdoors, the risk is low and per SCA guidelines you may still participate in activities with appropriate vaccination or testing, as long as you remain entirely without symptoms. Per CDC guidelines, mask usage indoors in public is also recommended for 14 days. If you do develop symptoms, regardless of vaccination status, isolate and call your physician for next steps.
