Woodworking this Sunday

With the banner stand project behind us, we have a day in the shop to work on our own stuff! If you have any wood projects you need or want for Pennsic, now’s your chance to get advice and help making them. If you have no ideas, bring a 6 or 8 foot board from the hardware store and we’ll help you figure out something useful to make from it.

Join us on Sunday, July 14th for the last Woodworking Guild Shop Day before Pennsic, in Ishiyama’s shop in Point Breeze, from 10am to 2pm.

Largess Competition @ Bog 3 Day

Forwarded information concerning largess for Pennsic:

Greetings to all artisans of the sylvan lands of Æthelmearc. We will be holding a largess competition at Bog 3 day on Saturday 13th of July. This competition is focused on the Royal gift exchange at Pennsic. Our kingdom will be exchanging with the East and we need items for our basket. The items should be geared towards personal items for Their Majesties East Ozurr and Fortune. Their page for reference can be found here: https://of.eastkingdom.org/ 

Even if your item(s) are not personal, please consider them for the competition and the basket since I know there is little time to prepare. Let’s all show the East the true glory of our fabolous artisans and that Æthelmearc truly is a force to be reckoned with.

Thursday Archery Practice and Arrowsmithing Class

Special thanks to Godfrey de Bayeux, who will be running a class on arrow smithing. This Thursday we will be having baronial archery practice AND an arrow making class at Lord Kumas’ residence. Bring any arrow making supplies and a chair with you. Learn how to fletch and tip your arrows. If you don’t have your own supplies we will be working on the repairing loaner arrows so you can try your hand at the craft.

Exchequer call for letters

Good evening Debatable Lands

My first term as exchequer will be coming to an end at our business meeting in August. I am formally putting out a call for letters but I will be seeking a second term. Letters will be due to the seneschal the last day of Pennsic, August 11th. They can be handed in in person or emailed to seneschal@debatablelands.aethelmearc.org If you do have any questions or interest in the office but do not think you are ready to throw your hat in the ring yet, please contact me and I will be happy to work with you so that you feel prepared for the next election.

Trailer move in day

Good evening Debatable Lands!

The new trailer is on site at Cooper’s lake but the old trailer is still holding our Pennsic encampment supplies hostage!

We are going to ride into battle and slay the beast on Monday July 8th and reclaim our treasured artifacts!

We wilI be moving everything starting at 6:30pm and while we have a team anyone wanting to join our party would be appropriated.
