Konichiwa Debatable Lands! Tomorrow, Sunday June 2nd, there will indeed be thrown weapons practice at Highland Park. Come out and throw with us! Loaner Gear will be available! Practice will be from 11-2pm. As a reminder, The Baronial Thrown Weapons Tourney will be next week, June 9th at the practice site at Highland Park. Come on out and vie for the right to represent the Barony at Pennsic and at the 7 Pearls Championship!!

This is just a reminder that the Woodworking Guild will be having a workshop day tomorrow, June 2nd, to complete the banner stands.
Join us at Ishiyama Shonagon’s house from 10am to 2pm for sanding, finishing, and gluing.

Fencing practice will be at Washington Blvd this Sunday. Start time is 1PM, loaner gear for fencing and cut and thrust is available.
We will be switching the Broken Plow crossover practice to the second Sunday of the month going forward.

We had another planning meeting on Thursday, May 23rd at the Panera in Oakland. We discussed the state of the banner stand project, possible future projects, and the meeting schedule going forward.
The banner stands are coming along, but the pieces still need to be sanded, finished, and assembled. To that end, we will be having another workshop day at Ishiyama Shonagon’s shop.
Greetings, provided the weather holds out for us fencing practice will start after the barony meeting is over rather than at our usual time of 1PM.

The May Barony Meeting will be held TODAY Sunday, 26 May 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Washington Blvd Practice Site. The forecast is clear at least until around 4p, so we should be fine. If you want to be added to the docket, please contact Maighstir Kieran MacRae (herald at debatablelands.org).
Well, it seems that Mother Nature refuses to cooperate, still… again… I am cancelling practice today, as if has already poured some and more is on the way, in the form of thunderstorms, at least according to the radar. I haven’t decided on next week, as I will be in Misty Highlands on Saturday for Kingdom Champs.. I will update on here closer to the weekend. Stay dry and be safe.
