Yes, it’s that time again!

July 7, 1pm-5 pm at the Richland pavilion in North Park, at the corner of Ingomar Rd and Babcock Blvd. Mistress Constance will be running the garb swap. Please bring garb, fabric, camping supplies, and anything else that you no longer need but a new SCAdian could use. Yes, it’s your annual chance to clean out your closets and help welcome new members at the same time! Once the newcomers have a chance we all get our turn- she doesn’t want to take it home either!

Come picnic and enjoy each other’s company. Guillaume will be doing repairs on iron key and welcomes help.

I intend to hold practice tomorrow at the usual time, but I will be keeping an eye on the heat index and the possibility of thunder storms. I will make a call an hour before practice and post here.

Due to the threat of storms tomorrow, and to give everyone a break after the scorcher of a week we just went through, Baronial Archery Practice for tomorrow is cancelled.

Mid-week practice(s) to be determined, weather permitting.

Hi all from Niall – despite the heat, we’re going to try to have a mid-week archery practice tomorrow evening from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm at our regular practice site. Come dressed for the weather and be sure to bring hydration – you’ll need it!

Since our marshals and many of our fencers will be on their way back from QRC (or otherwise unavailable) this Sunday, June 23rd, fencing practice is cancelled.

Please join the Debatable Brewers at Jorundr and Muirgheal’s House at 1 pm on 6/15/2024 and lets make beer!

We’ve chosen to make the Debatable Wit (its the OG guild’s recipe)!

We will start at 1 pm and get the brew going by 2 pm. We will grill for dinner, if you are able to contribute to the potluck style, please feel free.

Hello Debatable Lands and friends! This Sunday (June 16th) at martial practices will be our next round of Stellar Tournaments! Tournaments will be held roughly in the middle of each practice time, with time for regular practice before and after.

Hi all from Niall – just a quick note that we will have a mid-week archery practice tomorrow (Tuesday, 6/11) at our regular site (Washington Blvd.) starting at 5:30 pm and going til we drop (usually 8:00 pm).

Japanese Iris Festival is tomorrow, June 8th. Once again we are holding the Debatable Lands Baronial Equestrian Championship in the horse arena at Bradys Run Park, 121 Brady’s Run Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.  We are also holding classes, demonstrations, workshops, make and take sessions throughout the day as part of Guild Hall in the adjoining field. The weather forecast is for lots of sun. Please bring sunscreen and a hat if you have one. You should bring bug spray, too. A bento box lunch will be provided with chopsticks. There will be water coolers and the brewers guild will also have things to drink both with and without alcohol. You should bring a cup. If you bring a bottle for bottling with the brewers, please use plastic. Glass is not allowed in the park. You will want a chair or stool. If you have a pop-up or sun umbrella I recommend that you bring it.
